Maneka Gandhi expressed her joy at being affiliated with the BJP during her inaugural visit to Sultanpur after securing the party’s ticket for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Embarking on a 10-day tour of the district, she plans to visit all 101 villages within the constituency.
Following BJP MP Varun Gandhi’s denial of a ticket, his mother, Maneka Gandhi, broke her silence during her visit to Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur. Responding to queries about Varun Gandhi’s next steps, she indicated that decisions would be made post-election.
Expressing gratitude to party leaders Amit Shah, PM Modi, and Nadda Ji for the delayed yet appreciated ticket announcement, Maneka Gandhi highlighted the dilemma she faced in choosing between Pilibhit and Sultanpur. She emphasized her happiness in returning to Sultanpur, noting its historical significance where incumbent MPs rarely secure re-election.
Throughout her visit, Maneka Gandhi received a warm welcome from party members at various locations, including Katka Guptarganj, Tatianagar, and others. She also paid respects to the statues of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.
Notable figures such as BJP District President Dr. RA Verma, State Minister Meena Choubey, and others were present during her visit. Before this, Varun Gandhi penned a heartfelt letter to his constituents in Pilibhit, affirming his enduring commitment to the constituency.
