Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC), a prestigious Central Public Sector Enterprise and a key player in the power sector made history on April 3, 2024, by disbursing a substantial Rs. 554 crores to the Government of India as its third Interim Dividend for the fiscal year 2023-24. This remarkable achievement supplements the Rs. 832 crores and Rs. 647 crores distributed earlier as the first and second interim dividends, respectively.
The Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) intimation advice for the interim dividend was formally presented to Shri R.K. Singh, the Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, and Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, by Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD of PFC, in New Delhi on April 3, 2024. The event was also attended by Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha, Director (Projects) of PFC, and Shri Manoj Sharma, Director (Commercial) of PFC.
Declared during the Board of Directors’ meeting on March 11, 2024, the third interim dividend stands at 30% or Rs. 3 per equity share with a face value of Rs. 10 each.
With this latest dividend payout, the total interim dividends disbursed by PFC to its shareholders for the fiscal year 2023-24 amount to an impressive Rs. 3,630 crores. This translates to 110% or Rs. 11 per equity share of face value Rs. 10 each, marking a significant milestone as the highest-ever interim dividend paid by PFC.
