The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has successfully concluded the eighth batch of its renowned “IICA Certified CSR Professional Programme” in Goa. Held from April 4th to 6th, 2024, this immersive in-person event, organized by IICA’s School of Business Environment (SBE), aimed to strengthen Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices across India.
The program brought together a diverse cohort of CSR professionals, industry experts, and academicians for engaging technical sessions, group activities, and interactive discussions.
Professor Garima Dadhich, Head of the School of Business Environment, set the stage with a comprehensive overview of CSR’s evolution in India and a deep dive into the last decade’s progress and challenges. Dr. Ravi Raj Atrey, Chief Programme Executive at SBE, emphasized the intersection of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors with CSR and brand-building strategies.
The sessions transitioned from learning to leadership, with participants presenting their project reports and receiving constructive feedback. Mr. Bharat Wakhlu, Founder of The Wakhlu Advisory, underscored the importance of visionary leadership in CSR through his innovative PAMS strategy. Mr. Dinesh Agrawal, Principal Consultant at Consocia Advisory, provided insights into the legal landscape of CSR, covering amendments over the past decade.
The event concluded with open discussions, fostering collaboration and community among delegates. It showcased IICA’s dedication to advancing CSR education and highlighted India’s collective commitment to sustainable business practices.
Participants departed with enriched knowledge, new connections, and a renewed zeal to lead CSR and sustainability efforts.
