Umang Narula, Secretary of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, inaugurated the Swachhata Pakhwada, 2024, from April 18th to April 30th, 2024, in New Delhi. He administered the Swachhata Pledge to all officers and officials of the ministry on this occasion.
During the launch event, Dr. Satya Prakash, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, emphasized the significance of cleanliness in personal and social life. He provided an overview of the activities planned for Swachhata Pakhwada, 2024.
Throughout this period, all pending physical files of the ministry will be reviewed and disposed of if necessary. Special cleanliness drives will be conducted in rooms, and old or obsolete electronic items will be collected and auctioned if needed.
In addition to the regular cleanliness campaign inside and outside the ministry’s premises, an intra-school essay competition will be organized in a selected school in Delhi during Swachhata Pakhwada. This initiative aims to raise awareness among youth about the importance and effectiveness of cleanliness.
The Pakhwada will culminate on April 30th, 2024, with the distribution of prizes by the Secretary of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to the top three sections that excel in cleanliness parameters.
