World leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal, are set to attend the event, which will host over 8,000 dignitaries.
The final date and time are being coordinated with the schedules of international heads of state. Once these schedules are confirmed by the end of today, the date and time will be finalized. If many dignitaries need to leave by Sunday evening, the ceremony might be held at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s swearing-in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is likely to be postponed to June 12 from June 9, as he plans to attend Prime Minister Modi’s ceremony first.
TDP spokesperson K Pattabhi Ram stated that Naidu wants to avoid rushing back to Amaravati after Modi’s swearing-in in New Delhi. The TDP chief has invited several BJP leaders to his ceremony in the state capital.
“He will most likely be sworn in on June 12. Chandrababu will be in Delhi on June 7 for the NDA parliamentary party meeting and will attend the swearing-in on June 8. He will return to Amaravati a day after that and be sworn in on June 12,” said Pattabhi Ram.
Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief K Pawan Kalyan, recently elected to the Assembly, will also accompany Naidu to New Delhi.
