Today, on June 14, 2024, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, graced the Raja Parb celebration at Rashtrapati Bhavan. She delighted in cultural performances featuring Raja geet and traditional dances such as Mayurbhanj Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Karma dances.
The festivities included beautifully adorned swings with flowers and mango leaves, a hallmark of the festival. Mehndi artists showcased their talent, while Odia cuisine featuring various types of pitha, sherbet, and paan delighted the participants.
This marked the inaugural celebration of Raja Parb, a significant agricultural festival of Odisha, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event offered a unique glimpse into Odia culture and lifestyle, highlighting the rich traditions of the region.
