Indian shooting star Manu Bhaker has secured her place in the final of the women’s 10m air pistol event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. On Saturday, Bhaker finished third in the qualification round with a score of 580 points and 27 inner 10s, earning her spot in the final competition.
Her fellow Indian competitor, Rhythm Sangwan, fell short of the final, placing 15th overall. Sangwan started strong with a 97 in her opening series but experienced a decline in performance with a 92 in the second series.
In the qualification standings, Hungary’s Veronika Major led the field, with South Korea’s Oh Ye Jin following closely behind. The final round is set to commence at 3:30 PM IST on Sunday, July 28.
