Rau IAS Coaching Offers Financial Support to Deceased Students’ Families Amid Controversy
In a significant move to support grieving families, Rau IAS Coaching has announced a financial aid package with a notable condition. The institute has pledged ₹50 lakh to the families of deceased students, but the full disbursement hinges on a crucial factor.
According to Mohit Saraf, the lawyer representing Rau IAS, an initial sum of ₹25 lakh will be released immediately. However, the remaining ₹25 lakh will only be provided upon the release of the coaching institute’s CEO, Abhishek, from jail. Saraf explained that the institute currently lacks the complete amount and that Abhishek’s release is essential for securing the remaining funds within six months.
Expressing deep sympathy for the bereaved families, Saraf acknowledged their pain and suffering while addressing the media. He also highlighted the broader impact of the students’ protests, which have disrupted the operations of the coaching institute. With the CEO incarcerated and the institute’s activities halted, even the employees are without salaries.
In addition to Rau IAS, other institutions such as Vajiram and Next IAS have also pledged ₹10 lakh each to support the families of the deceased students.
The tragedy in Rajendra Nagar has sparked significant unrest among the student community, leading to widespread protests. In response, the administration has taken strict measures, sealing several coaching institutes in the area. Despite these actions, protests continue as students demand justice and accountability.
Rau IAS’s offer presents a double-edged sword—providing much-needed financial support to affected families while also raising concerns about the condition tied to the CEO’s release. As the situation unfolds, the affected families and the broader community watch closely, hoping for a resolution that balances justice and compassion.
