The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has given the green light to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the development of a New Civil Enclave at Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri, West Bengal, at an estimated cost of ₹1,549 crore.
The new Terminal Building, covering 70,390 sqm, is designed to handle 3,000 Peak Hour Passengers (PHP) with an annual capacity of 10 million passengers. The project also includes the construction of an apron with 10 parking bays for A-321 type aircraft, two link taxiways, and a Multi-Level Car Parking facility.
