The Indian Navy’s advanced stealth frigate, INS Tabar, commanded by Captain MR Harish, has docked in Esbjerg, Denmark for a two-day visit.
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship between India and Denmark, as well as their respective navies. While in Esbjerg, the ship’s crew will engage in a range of professional exchanges with the Danish Armed Forces, alongside cultural interactions.
The enduring diplomatic ties between India and Denmark are rooted in shared historical connections, democratic values, and a mutual commitment to regional and global peace and stability. The relationship was elevated to a “Green Strategic Partnership” following the Virtual Summit between Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Danish Prime Minister Ms. Mette Frederiksen on September 28, 2020.
INS Tabar, one of the Indian Navy’s earliest stealth frigates, boasts a sophisticated array of weapons and sensors. It is assigned to the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, headquartered in Mumbai under the Western Naval Command.
