Yograj Singh, father of cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has publicly criticized MS Dhoni, accusing him of sabotaging his son’s cricket career. In a recent interview with Zee Switch’s YouTube channel, Yograj Singh expressed his anger, stating that he would never forgive Dhoni for the alleged damage done to Yuvraj’s career.
Yograj claimed that Yuvraj Singh could have continued playing for another four to five years had it not been for Dhoni’s actions. “MS Dhoni has ruined my son’s career, which could have lasted much longer,” he said. He also called for the Indian government to honor Yuvraj Singh with the Bharat Ratna for his contribution to India’s ODI World Cup victory while battling cancer.
In his remarks, Yograj challenged others to produce a cricketer like Yuvraj, noting past praise from Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag about Yuvraj’s unique talent. He argued that Yuvraj deserves the highest national honor for his perseverance and achievements.
Additionally, Yograj Singh did not hold back in his criticism of former captain Kapil Dev, contrasting his single World Cup win with Yuvraj Singh’s 13 trophies. “Kapil Dev, once the greatest captain, has just one World Cup to his name, while Yuvraj Singh has 13 trophies. End of discussion,” he added.
Yograj Singh’s comments have sparked significant debate, bringing renewed attention to Yuvraj Singh’s legacy and his contributions to Indian cricket.
