AIIA Boosts Ayush Research and Insurance Integration

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has strengthened its collaborative efforts to advance insurance integration and research in the Ayush sector. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director of AIIA, welcomed Prof. Bejon Kumar Misra, Chairman of the Core Group of Experts for Insurance, Ministry of Ayush, to discuss strategies for wider accessibility of traditional medicine through insurance coverage.
Recently, Union Minister of State for Ayush (Independent Charge) Shri Prataprao Jadhav inaugurated the Project Management Unit (PMU) at AIIA, dedicated to Ayush insurance-related matters. Prof. Prajapati highlighted that the PMU will create a timely and transparent environment for stakeholders, facilitating smooth implementation of insurance schemes and ensuring public access to their benefits.

Collaborative Research and Academic Partnerships

During the visit, Prof. Prajapati also welcomed Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad. The discussions focused on establishing research collaborations and academic exchanges to strengthen evidence-based Ayurveda practices.

Prof. Prajapati emphasized, “AIIA is committed to fostering meaningful collaborations that bridge traditional wisdom with modern science. Strengthening research partnerships and policy frameworks such as insurance inclusion will significantly enhance the reach and credibility of the Ayush systems.”
