Air Chief Marshal Visits NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 at Delhi Cantt

RR Team, January 8, 2026January 9, 2026
New Delhi: Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 at Delhi Cantt on January 8, delivering a powerful message of discipline, patriotism and service beyond uniform.
The visit marked a significant moment for thousands of cadets gathered from across the country to participate in one of the NCC’s most prestigious annual events. The Air Chief Marshal was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force wings, symbolising unity and discipline across services.

Cultural Pride and National Unity on Display

Following the Guard of Honour, the Chief of the Air Staff witnessed an impressive band performance by girl cadets of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, Rajasthan. The performance reflected the growing leadership role of women within the NCC framework.

Air Chief Marshal Singh also inspected the Flag Area, a unique display prepared by cadets from all 17 NCC Directorates, highlighting themes of social awareness, national integration, environmental responsibility and civic duty.

‘Service Must Extend Beyond Uniform,’ Says CAS

Addressing the cadets, Air Chief Marshal Singh expressed deep confidence in India’s youth and lauded the NCC’s contribution to nation-building. He described the NCC as a vital institution in shaping disciplined, value-driven and responsible citizens.

Highlighting the organisation’s vast reach, he noted that the NCC is the world’s largest uniformed youth organisation with over 20 lakh cadets, nearly 40 per cent of whom are girls. He urged cadets to uphold NCC values throughout their lives, even after stepping out of uniform.

Commendation for National Service and Operations

The Air Chief Marshal appreciated the proactive participation of NCC cadets in Operation Sindoor and their contribution to spreading awareness about key government initiatives. He encouraged them to maintain a ‘never say die’ attitude and continuously strive for excellence.

Congratulating cadets selected for RDC 2026, he called their participation a matter of pride for their respective directorates and families, emphasising that the camp represents the pinnacle of NCC training and exposure.

Celebrating India’s Cultural Diversity

The visit concluded with an enthralling cultural programme featuring group songs, ballets and traditional dances from different regions of India. The performances highlighted the country’s rich cultural heritage and the unity-in-diversity ethos that NCC promotes.

The cultural showcase was widely appreciated by the Air Chief Marshal and other distinguished guests present at the event.

NCC’s Enduring Role in Nation-Building

Air Chief Marshal Singh’s interaction with cadets reinforced the NCC’s mission of grooming responsible citizens and future leaders. His address underscored the importance of discipline, service and national commitment at a time when youth participation is crucial for India’s progress.

The Republic Day Camp 2026 continues to serve as a platform for cultural exchange, leadership development and national integration, reflecting the NCC’s enduring contribution to the nation.
