Shri Shah also highlighted the inauguration of a ₹400 crore drainage pipeline in Ahmedabad, implemented using micro-tunneling technology—the first of its kind in Asia. Covering nine city wards including Gota, Chandlodiya, Bodakdev, Ghatlodiya, Jodhpur, Makarpura, Sarkhej, Vejalpur, and Thaltej, this project serves approximately 15 lakh residents across 4,500 colonies.
“By utilizing the AMRUT scheme, funds from the Gujarat government, and resources from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, a permanent solution for sewage disposal has been achieved without disrupting daily traffic,” Shri Shah noted. The project underscores the administration’s focus on innovation and efficiency in urban planning.
Work Culture and Development-Oriented Governance
Shri Shah praised the exemplary work culture initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Gujarat, emphasizing that public representatives must proactively resolve citizens’ problems. He pointed out that both the land allotment initiative and the drainage project reflect this culture of “politics of performance,” which prioritizes results over rhetoric.
He remarked that the opposition continues to resist popular initiatives such as the Ram Temple construction, surgical strikes, deportation of infiltrators, Kashi temple redevelopment, and reforms like the abrogation of Article 370 and Common Civil Code. “When the opposition opposes what the people support, where will it get votes?” Shri Shah questioned.
Looking Ahead: Political Outlook
Shri Shah confidently predicted the opposition’s defeat in upcoming elections in Bengal and Tamil Nadu, asserting that the Modi-led government would continue its mandate in 2029. “The principles of our party resonate deeply with the people, and the work culture and sensitive governance model established in Gujarat are being successfully replicated nationwide,” he added.
