The Minister also reflected on India’s economic progress under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, noting that India moved from the world’s 11th largest economy in 2014 to the 4th largest in 2025. By 2027, India is expected to become the 3rd largest economy globally. Shri Shah highlighted key government initiatives encouraging youth entrepreneurship, including Startup India, Stand Up India, MUDRA Yojana, and Vocal for Local campaigns. The number of startups has risen from 500 in 2014 to over 2.06 lakh today, creating 18 lakh permanent jobs and millions of temporary employment opportunities. Unicorn startups have grown from 4 in 2014 to 120 today.
Shri Shah urged youth to focus on two essential pillars for India’s development by 2047: Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swadeshi. He stressed that promoting locally made products domestically and internationally would empower India to become a global leader in every field by the centenary of independence.

Through mentorship, technology, and exposure, the Yuva Business Maha Sammelan–2025 is set to accelerate India’s journey towards a self-reliant and globally competitive future.
