In a significant step towards strengthening the development journey of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah chaired a high-level review meeting in Srinagar today. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Union Home Secretary, and senior officials from both the Centre and the Union Territory.
The discussions revolved around the ongoing development projects in Jammu and Kashmir, with a comprehensive presentation highlighting achievements across critical sectors such as power, connectivity, industry, tourism, and agriculture. The meeting also touched upon the financial support extended to the region by the Centre, including allocations for the financial year 2024–25.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering efforts and vision for steering the region toward a brighter future. “The region is witnessing visible transformation across all sectors,” he noted, emphasizing that inclusive growth and welfare remain central to the government’s approach.
