Amit Shah Reviews Development Projects in Srinagar, Reaffirms Centre’s Commitment to a Prosperous Jammu and Kashmir

In a significant step towards strengthening the development journey of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah chaired a high-level review meeting in Srinagar today. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Union Home Secretary, and senior officials from both the Centre and the Union Territory.

The discussions revolved around the ongoing development projects in Jammu and Kashmir, with a comprehensive presentation highlighting achievements across critical sectors such as power, connectivity, industry, tourism, and agriculture. The meeting also touched upon the financial support extended to the region by the Centre, including allocations for the financial year 2024–25.

 

Speaking at the review, the Home Minister reaffirmed the Modi government’s deep commitment to building a developed and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering efforts and vision for steering the region toward a brighter future. “The region is witnessing visible transformation across all sectors,” he noted, emphasizing that inclusive growth and welfare remain central to the government’s approach.

 

The meeting reflected a sense of urgency and responsibility, with Amit Shah directing officials to expedite the pace of developmental initiatives to fully unlock the potential of the Union Territory. These efforts aim not only at economic progress but also at uplifting the daily lives of people across Jammu and Kashmir.

The government’s consistent and focused support to the region speaks volumes of its determination to create lasting change. At a time when hope and stability are essential for growth, the continued engagement and care shown by the Centre offer reassurance to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that their aspirations are being prioritized.
