Union Home Minister Amit Shah has commenced a review meeting focused on the implementation of new criminal laws in the northeastern states of India. The meeting, held in Assam, aims to assess the progress and challenges faced by these states in adopting the revised legal framework.

The Home Minister acknowledged the unique cultural and geographical aspects of the region, assuring that the central government would provide the necessary support and resources to address local concerns.
