The large-scale job fair, organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, attracted enthusiastic participation from job seekers across Amroha and nearby districts. The event provided a direct bridge between trained youth and industry employers, highlighting the government’s commitment to creating job opportunities closer to home.

Strong Industry Participation and Youth Response

The Kaushal Mahotsav witnessed an impressive turnout of nearly 4,000 candidates who appeared for interviews conducted by more than 55 participating companies. These companies represented a wide range of sectors including automotive, logistics, healthcare, banking, financial services, manufacturing, retail, and other service industries.
Out of the candidates interviewed, over 2,400 successfully secured job offers, reflecting the strong demand for skilled workers and the effectiveness of India’s skilling ecosystem. The event functioned as a single-window platform, enabling youth to explore employment, apprenticeships, and career pathways without needing to travel far from their hometowns.
Such initiatives play a crucial role in reducing migration pressures and empowering local talent to contribute to regional economic development.
Government’s Focus on Skilling Linked to Employment
Addressing the gathering, Shri Jayant Chaudhary highlighted the importance of connecting skilling initiatives directly with employment opportunities. He emphasised that platforms like the Kaushal Mahotsav help bridge the gap between talent and industry by bringing employers directly to job seekers.
He noted that the enthusiasm displayed by thousands of young participants demonstrated their readiness to build successful careers through skill development. The minister encouraged youth to continue upgrading their skills through emerging programmes, particularly those focused on advanced technologies and future-ready industries.
Supporting India’s Growing Skilling Ecosystem
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) played a key role in supporting the event through mobilisation efforts, coordination with industry partners, and on-ground implementation. Their efforts ensured that job seekers received access to genuine employment opportunities and career guidance.
The event forms part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen India’s skilling ecosystem through flagship programmes such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0), expanded apprenticeship initiatives, and the modernisation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the PM-SETU scheme.
These initiatives aim to build a workforce capable of meeting the demands of modern industries while enhancing employability across rural and urban areas.
Boosting Rural Employment and Local Economic Growth
The Amroha Kaushal Mahotsav highlights the government’s district-level outreach strategy to ensure employment opportunities reach youth at the grassroots level. By bringing employers and job seekers together in local communities, such events create inclusive growth opportunities and reduce employment disparities.
Officials emphasised that empowering youth through skill development and employment is essential to achieving India’s long-term economic goals, including the vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to organising similar Kaushal Mahotsavs across the country to expand employment access, strengthen industry partnerships, and create a future-ready workforce capable of driving India’s economic progress.
