Ayodhya Ram Mandir Marks 2 Years of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha

Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi Observed as per Tradition

While the grand consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla took place on January 22, 2024, the temple trust observes its anniversary based on the traditional Hindu almanac. According to priests and scholars, Pran Pratishtha Dwadashi holds special spiritual significance, making it the chosen date for annual observance.
The rituals include special pujas, havans, and recitations from sacred scriptures, performed by Vedic scholars under the guidance of prominent seers. The atmosphere in Ayodhya resonated with devotional chants and religious fervour throughout the day.
Participation of National and State Leadership
Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandi and later participated in ceremonies at other temples within the complex. The leaders also interacted with saints and members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust.
Trust officials said the presence of senior leaders reflects the cultural and spiritual importance of the Ram Temple for millions of devotees across the country.
Multi-Day Celebrations at Ayodhya
The second anniversary celebrations are part of a larger religious programme that began on December 27 and will continue until January 2. Mandal Path and other rituals are being conducted daily at designated locations inside the temple complex.
Jagadguru Madhvacharya Swami Vishwaprasanna Teertha Maharaj of Pejawar Math, Udupi, is guiding the religious proceedings. Scholars from South India have been invited to perform Vedic rituals, ensuring adherence to ancient traditions.
Massive Crowd, Tight Security
The Ayodhya administration has estimated that nearly five to six lakh devotees are expected to visit the town on December 30 and 31 for Ram Lalla’s darshan. To manage the crowd, authorities have restricted vehicle entry and created multiple parking zones outside the city.
The town has been divided into five zones and ten sectors, each supervised by senior police officers. Around 3,000 police personnel, along with PAC and paramilitary forces, have been deployed to maintain law and order.
Surveillance is being carried out through CCTV cameras and drones, while anti-drone systems have been activated at key locations. The entire operation is being monitored from a central control room.
Nationwide Sentiment and Messages
Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended greetings on the occasion, recalling the historic consecration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi two years ago. In a social media post, he described the event as the culmination of a centuries-long wait for devotees.
Religious leaders and devotees echoed similar sentiments, calling the Ram Mandir a symbol of faith, cultural resurgence, and unity. Many pilgrims described their visit as a deeply emotional and spiritual experience.
Ayodhya’s Growing Spiritual Footprint
Since the consecration of Ram Lalla, Ayodhya has emerged as one of India’s most prominent spiritual destinations. The steady influx of pilgrims has transformed the city’s infrastructure and economy, while preserving its religious heritage.
As the temple marks its second year, authorities and the temple trust continue to focus on balancing devotion, tradition, and modern management to ensure a smooth experience for devotees.
