Ayodhya’s Deepotsav 2024 is set to mark the first Diwali at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple with 2.5 million diyas illuminating the city, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record. Organized by the Uttar Pradesh government, this grand celebration will include vibrant processions, traditional dances, and a dazzling drone show, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity and uniting communities in a festive spirit.
As dusk falls, Ayodhya will come alive with lights, colors, and performances, welcoming visitors nationwide. Highlights of the event include tableaux from the Ramayana, folk dances representing various regions, and a grand aarti with over 1,100 participants. Artists from neighboring countries will also join, adding a multicultural dimension.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s presence will underscore the significance of the festival, and the lighting of diyas—a collective effort—will reflect community participation. In a modern twist, a 500-drone display will bring figures like Lord Ram and Hanuman to life, creating a visual blend of tradition and innovation.
The evening will end with a spectacular display of fireworks and rangoli, celebrating Diwali’s message of light overcoming darkness. Deepotsav 2024 promises an unforgettable experience, bridging heritage and unity, and lighting the path for future celebrations at this sacred site.
