Ayush Sets Governance Benchmark in Campaign 5.0

RR Team, November 4, 2025November 4, 2025
The Ministry of Ayush has set a new standard in administrative efficiency, transparency, and cleanliness through the successful implementation of Special Campaign 5.0, conducted from October 2 to October 31, 2025. The initiative, aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ movement, focused on optimizing resources, improving record management, and strengthening public grievance redressal across Ayush institutions nationwide.

Remarkable Achievements in Office Optimization

During the campaign, the Ministry achieved outstanding results across several operational fronts. A total of 658 public grievances and 59 grievance appeals were disposed of, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to responsive and citizen-centric governance. Additionally, two parliamentary references were resolved, further showcasing efficiency in administrative communication.

Significantly, through systematic cleaning and file weeding exercises, the Ministry freed up 1,365 square feet of office space, while scrap disposal activities generated a revenue of ₹7.35 lakh. These outcomes underline the Ministry’s success in implementing the principles of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’  ensuring better use of government resources while maintaining high productivity levels.

Cleanliness Drives and Civic Participation

As part of Special Campaign 5.0, 68 cleanliness drives were organized across Ayush offices, research councils, and educational institutions. These drives extended beyond office premises into herbal gardens, community areas, and public spaces to promote civic awareness and environmental responsibility.

Senior officials and staff actively participated in the drives, with many initiatives personally led by senior administrators at Ayush Bhawan and other key locations. The activities not only enhanced workplace hygiene but also inspired community engagement and volunteer participation.

Strengthening Transparency and Record Management

The Ministry’s systematic file review resulted in the weeding out of 101 outdated files, improving both document management and digital workflow. This measure is in line with the government’s ongoing push for digitization and paperless administration, reducing clutter and promoting eco-friendly practices across departments.

Officials noted that such efforts contribute to improved decision-making speed, lower operational costs, and enhanced inter-departmental coordination. The campaign’s success demonstrates that small yet consistent steps toward administrative hygiene can lead to measurable efficiency gains.

Ayush Ministry’s Continued Commitment to Clean Governance

Building upon earlier editions of the campaign, the Ministry ensured extensive participation from officers, staff, and stakeholders in the Ayush ecosystem. Awareness campaigns on sanitation, waste management, and record cleanliness were held across multiple campuses, emphasizing the long-term importance of maintaining a clutter-free and efficient workspace.

Speaking on the campaign’s success, officials highlighted that the initiative aligns closely with the national vision of sustainable governance and environmental stewardship. The Ministry’s proactive approach reflects its leadership in integrating cleanliness with accountability and transparency.

A Model for Other Ministries

The achievements under Special Campaign 5.0 serve as a model for other government departments aiming to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. By reclaiming physical spaces, improving documentation systems, and promoting civic consciousness, the Ministry of Ayush has set a benchmark for clean and efficient governance.

As India moves toward its centenary of independence, initiatives like these reaffirm the government’s dedication to a transparent, technology-driven, and citizen-first administration where every department contributes to the broader goal of national cleanliness and administrative reform.
