Bharat NCX 2025: CISO Conclave & Startup Expo Lead Cyber Push

RR Team, July 31, 2025July 31, 2025
India’s digital frontier took a major leap forward as the Bharat CISO’s Conclave and Cybersecurity Startup Exhibition were inaugurated in New Delhi. These events are part of the larger Bharat National Cybersecurity Exercise (Bharat NCX) 2025, organized by the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) in partnership with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU).The opening of these parallel events marks a vital step toward strengthening the country’s cybersecurity posture, fostering innovation, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration.

Strategic Conversations Among India’s Cyber Leaders

The CISO Conclave gathered top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), cybersecurity experts, and government officials. The event featured high-impact panel discussions that addressed the shifting dynamics of global cyber threats.

One of the key sessions, “Cybersecurity in the Age of Geopolitical Tensions”, tackled the growing risks that arise from international conflicts and cyber warfare. Experts shared best practices on how Indian organizations can build cyber resilience amid uncertain global conditions.

Another standout session, “From Chaos to Control: Building an Effective Incident Response Framework,” focused on incident management protocols. It provided hands-on strategies to help businesses respond quickly and effectively to cyber attacks.

Leadership Speaks: India’s Urgent Cybersecurity Needs

In his keynote address, Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), offered an urgent call to action. He emphasized the rising complexity of cyber threats and the growing need for “technology-driven, proactive, and collaborative responses.”

“India must not only defend but stay ahead of the curve,” said Dr. Bahl. “Advanced technologies and stakeholder cooperation are no longer optional. They’re essential to protect our national digital infrastructure.”

He highlighted the role of public-private partnerships and the need for integrated incident response mechanisms across industries.

Startup Exhibition Showcases India’s Cyber Talent

Running alongside the conclave, the Bharat Cybersecurity Startup Exhibition offered a platform to India’s brightest cybersecurity startups. These companies demonstrated real-time solutions aimed at neutralizing modern cyber threats.

Innovations on display included:

  • Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) tools
  • Advanced Security Operations Center (SOC) platforms
  • AI-powered threat detection systems
  • Resilience Maturity Assessment frameworks
  • Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity protocols

This exhibition reflected the increasing capability of India’s cybersecurity startup ecosystem to deliver world-class solutions, especially those tailored to critical infrastructure sectors like defense, finance, and utilities.

Why Bharat NCX 2025 Matters

Organized under the NSCS, Bharat NCX 2025 is designed to simulate cyber incidents and improve response mechanisms across sectors. It trains government, corporate, and defense stakeholders to respond efficiently to cyber attacks in real-time scenarios.

The exercise aligns with India’s broader digital vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), where cybersecurity is seen as a cornerstone of national security.

Collaborative Spirit and Future Outlook

The dual events—the CISO Conclave and the Startup Exhibition—exemplify the collective push towards a safer cyberspace. Both events created meaningful connections between policymakers, industry leaders, academic institutions, and innovators.

As cyber threats grow in frequency and sophistication, India’s commitment to hosting exercises like Bharat NCX demonstrates foresight and determination.

The outcomes of Bharat NCX 2025 will undoubtedly influence upcoming national policies and investments in cyber defense capabilities. More importantly, they will empower both public and private players to secure their networks and data assets with confidence.

Key Takeaways

  • Bharat NCX 2025 inaugurated in New Delhi, spearheading cybersecurity preparedness.
  • National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) are the primary organizers.
  • CISO Conclave addressed critical issues like geopolitical cyber threats and incident response.
  • Dr. Sanjay Bahl emphasized a multi-stakeholder and tech-led approach to national cyber defense.
  • Startup Exhibition showcased indigenous solutions in DFIR, SOC, AI, ICS security, and resilience assessments.

Conclusion

India is not just reacting to cyber threats—it is preparing ahead. Through Bharat NCX 2025, the country is making it clear that cybersecurity is not just an IT issue—it’s a national priority. And with the strength of its startups, experts, and institutions, India is ready to lead the way.
