Bihar CM, Deputy CM and Union Minister Meet PM Modi in Delhi

RR Team, December 22, 2025December 22, 2025
Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary and Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday, underscoring ongoing political and administrative engagement between the Centre and the state leadership.
The meeting took place in the national capital and was formally acknowledged by the Prime Minister’s Office through a post on social media platform X, confirming the interaction between the senior leaders.

PMO Confirms the Meeting

The Prime Minister’s Office shared details of the interaction through its official handle, stating that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

While no official statement was released regarding the agenda of the meeting, such interactions are generally viewed as part of routine coordination and dialogue between state leadership and the Union government.

Significance of the Interaction

The meeting assumes significance as it brings together the top leadership of Bihar with the Prime Minister at a time when cooperation between the Centre and states remains crucial for governance, policy implementation and development planning.

Interactions of this nature often provide an opportunity for state leaders to apprise the Prime Minister of regional developments and administrative priorities, while also discussing broader national issues affecting federal coordination.

Key Leaders Present

Shri Nitish Kumar, a veteran leader and one of the longest-serving Chief Ministers in the country, continues to play a central role in Bihar’s political and administrative landscape.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary represents the new generation of leadership in the state, while Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, holds an important position at the national level.

Centre-State Coordination

Meetings between state leaders and the Prime Minister are an essential part of India’s federal framework, ensuring dialogue and coordination on governance matters.

Such engagements help align state-level priorities with national objectives, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development, welfare delivery and economic growth.

Political Context

The presence of both state and Union-level leaders in the meeting reflects the evolving political dynamics and the importance of communication across different levels of government.

Observers often view such meetings as opportunities to reinforce working relationships and address issues requiring joint efforts by the Centre and the state.
