Bihar to Get 7 New Trains Including 3 Amrit Bharat Express

Bihar is set to witness a major boost in rail connectivity as Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, flagged off seven new trains from Patna Junction. The launch includes three Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting key cities across India, and four passenger trains to strengthen intra-state connectivity.
The three Amrit Bharat Express trains will link Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli (near Hyderabad), Darbhanga to Madar Junction (near Ajmer), and Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi). The Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli route marks Bihar’s first direct Amrit Bharat connection to South India, while Chhapra–Anand Vihar Express becomes the sixth such service connecting Bihar to Delhi.

Modern Features and Passenger Benefits

Developed by Indian Railways, the Amrit Bharat Express has become synonymous with modernization and passenger convenience. These trains feature semi-automatic couplers, fire detection systems, sealed gangways, and talk-back units. Advanced safety features are now available even in non-AC coaches. The new trains will provide fast, safe, and comfortable travel while promoting economic activity, tourism, and trade in Bihar.
