In a significant step towards securing India’s future in quantum communication, the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has entered into a promising collaboration with Synergy Quantum India Private Limited. The two organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop cutting-edge Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology tailored for drone-based communication systems.
This collaboration brings together C-DOT’s deep-rooted research expertise and Synergy Quantum’s agility in innovation. With an aim to develop systems using the advanced decoy-based BB84 protocol with polarization encoding at a readiness level of TRL-6 or higher, the partnership aspires to make drone-based quantum communication a reality. It reflects a strong commitment to the national mission of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” by strengthening indigenous capabilities in secure and advanced telecom technologies.
