CBSE Board Results 2025 Declared: A Moment of Joy and Reflection for Millions of Students

In a significant milestone for over 42 lakh students and their families, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the year 2025. The announcement has brought a wave of relief, pride, and reflection across the country, as students, teachers, and parents take stock of months of hard work and dedication.

This year, the Class 10 pass percentage stood at an impressive 93.66%, marking a slight increase from the previous year’s 93.60%. Class 12 results recorded a commendable pass rate of 88.39%. These figures not only reflect academic excellence but also the resilience of students navigating challenges post-pandemic, shifting syllabi, and evolving educational landscapes.

Particularly heartening was the performance of Children with Special Needs (CWSN), who achieved a pass rate of 96.02% in Class 10 and 93.15% in Class 12, setting an inspiring example of determination and perseverance. Girls once again outshone boys in Class 10 with a pass percentage of 95%, while transgender students also matched that number, underlining the growing inclusivity and equity in education.

Regions like Trivandrum, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru led the country in performance, with pass rates hovering close to 99.79%. Kerala and Tamil Nadu topped the state-wise charts, each posting a remarkable 99.86% pass rate for Class 10. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) emerged as top institutional performers, boasting pass percentages above 99%.

Yet, amidst the celebration, the data also serves as a moment of pause. Over 1.4 lakh Class 10 students have been placed in the compartment category, reflecting the need for continued academic support and reform. CBSE has introduced new post-result guidelines aimed at transparency and fairness—students can now access their answer sheet photocopies before applying for revaluation, helping them make informed decisions.

Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan extended heartfelt congratulations to students, acknowledging not just their efforts but also the unwavering support of parents, teachers, and school communities. Their messages of encouragement stressed the importance of lifelong learning, resilience, and future readiness.

The CBSE 2025 results are now accessible on official websites—cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in—and platforms like DigiLocker and UMANG. Students are advised to avoid unverified portals and use only the authenticated links to download their mark sheets.

For many, today marks more than just the release of a result—it’s a culmination of dreams, aspirations, and personal battles fought in silence. As students chart their next steps—be it higher studies, vocational pursuits, or new beginnings—this result season is a reminder that success is as much about marks as it is about character, courage, and continuous growth.
