Specialized Training for Homoeopathy Scientists
The intensive workshop focuses on public health preparedness, equipping participants with practical skills to manage epidemics and pandemics effectively. Following a rigorous online assessment by the Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), 30 CCRH research scientists from 14 states were selected from 33 institutes across 22 states/UTs for the specialized training.

MoU Strengthens Research Collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CCRH and MAHE to facilitate collaborative research, education, and training initiatives. Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General of CCRH, and Dr. P. Giridhar Kini, Registrar of MAHE, formalized the agreement. The MoU aims to create a robust framework for joint research projects and capacity-building programs in homoeopathy and biosafety.
Dignitaries and Key Addresses
Dr. Chiranjay Mukhopadhyay, Director of MIV, welcomed participants and highlighted the significance of the collaboration. In his inaugural address, Dr. Subhash Kaushik emphasized the need for a resilient healthcare system and underscored the role of homoeopathy in epidemic response. Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao K, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences at MAHE, lauded the workshop and assured full support for collaborative research and training initiatives.
The training coordinators include Dr. Suhana P. Azis, Dr. Sreekanth Gopinathan Pillai, Dr. Sudheesh N., and Mr. Anup Jayaram, who are responsible for guiding participants through practical simulations and advanced biosafety techniques.
Enhancing India’s Public Health Preparedness
The workshop will not only enhance the technical competencies of CCRH scientists but also strengthen India’s public health response framework. Through practical biosafety exercises and outbreak simulations, participants will be better prepared to tackle emerging health challenges, ensuring a proactive approach to epidemic and pandemic management.
This initiative exemplifies the government’s commitment to building resilient healthcare systems and fostering research-driven solutions under the Ministry of AYUSH.
