Promoting an Employee-Centric Workplace
The crèche facility, part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0, reflects the Ministry’s commitment to employee welfare and balanced work-life support. It is designed to help employees manage childcare responsibilities while maintaining productivity at work.
During the inauguration, children welcomed the Minister with flowers. Shri Naidu toured the facility, reviewed safety and learning features, and interacted with parents and children. He also distributed toys and chocolates to mark the occasion.
The crèche caters to children aged six months to six years and includes facilities for nutrition, health monitoring, playtime, and pre-school learning. The space is secured with CCTV surveillance and designed to provide a stimulating environment for preschoolers.
Located on the ground floor of Udaan Bhawan, the crèche ensures easy accessibility and meets all safety standards. It includes colourful play areas, sleeping zones, and educational toys to support early childhood development.
Benefiting Ministry Employees and Attached Offices
The new crèche will serve employees of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and its attached organizations, including the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), and Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).
This initiative will allow working parents to better manage their professional and parental duties, promoting mental well-being and overall efficiency in government offices.
Aligned with the Goals of Special Campaign 5.0
The launch of the crèche is part of the government’s broader Special Campaign 5.0, aimed at improving office environments through the creative use of space, digitization, and welfare measures for employees. The campaign also focuses on enhancing workplace efficiency and promoting sustainable practices within ministries.
By utilizing unused spaces for constructive purposes like this crèche, the Ministry of Civil Aviation sets an example for other departments to follow in integrating human-centric infrastructure improvements.

Speaking at the event, Minister Rammohan Naidu emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering an inclusive and caring workplace. He noted that a supportive environment for working parents directly enhances productivity, motivation, and job satisfaction among employees.
The crèche at Udaan Bhawan thus represents not just a welfare measure, but a significant cultural shift towards prioritizing people at the heart of governance.
