Civil Aviation Ministry Achieves Mid-Term Targets

RR Team, October 26, 2025October 25, 2025
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has made significant strides in its mid-term review under the ongoing Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, which runs from October 2 to October 31, 2025. Spearheaded by Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu, the campaign emphasizes creating a clutter-free workplace—physically, digitally, and mentally—aligned with the government’s vision of efficiency and transparency.

Progress Achieved

As of the mid-term review, the Ministry has accomplished 87% of its public grievance redressal targets. A total of 4,988 physical files have been successfully weeded out, contributing to a cleaner and more organized office environment. Additionally, 405 cleanliness drives have been conducted against the target of 480, demonstrating active staff participation in maintaining hygiene.

Space Optimization and Revenue Generation

Through the disposal of scrap, e-waste, and redundant files, approximately 31,353 sq. ft. of office space has been freed, enabling better workflow and productivity. The Ministry also generated revenue of Rs. 81,66,756 from scrap disposal, highlighting the dual benefit of cleanliness and resource optimization under the campaign.

Ministerial Engagement and Walkthroughs

Minister Shri Rammohan Naidu actively monitored the campaign, chairing a review meeting on October 9, 2025, with senior officers and heads of organizations under the Ministry. On October 13, he conducted a comprehensive walkthrough of the Ministry premises, interacting with staff, reviewing canteen cleanliness, and inspecting the library. The Minister encouraged officials to integrate Swachhata into their daily actions, mindset, and behavior, echoing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of cleanliness as a way of life.

Fostering a Positive Workplace

Under Shri Naidu’s leadership, the Ministry remains committed to creating a positive, organized, and clutter-free workplace. Emphasizing physical, digital, and mental cleanliness, the initiative seeks to improve efficiency, enhance staff well-being, and set an example for other government departments to emulate.
