Delhi Chief Minister Atishi visited the Pracheen Hanuman Mandir on Tuesday, expressing her deep reverence for Lord Hanuman as the Sankat Mochan or remover of troubles. For the past two years, AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have faced relentless attacks and attempts to undermine us, she stated. Despite efforts to divide, suppress, and silence us, Hanuman ji has always stood as our protector—safeguarding AAP, Arvind Kejriwal, and the people of Delhi.
Atishi sought blessings from Lord Hanuman to continue serving the citizens of Delhi and to help bring Arvind Kejriwal back as chief minister in the upcoming elections. After his release from Tihar jail, Kejriwal stepped down from his role amid corruption allegations, declaring he would not return unless the public granted him a certificate of honesty by voting for AAP in February’s elections.
On Monday, Atishi officially took on the responsibilities of chief minister, vowing to lead Delhi in Kejriwal’s absence. She drew a parallel to Bharat, who ruled by placing his elder brother Lord Ram’s wooden sandals on the throne of Ayodhya. Atishi emphasized that Kejriwal’s chair would remain unoccupied in the Chief Minister’s Office, as she chose to sit in a different seat instead of her predecessor’s.
