In a heartening display of collaboration and vision, the CSC CSR Conclave 2025 emerged as a powerful testament to India’s commitment to uplifting its rural heartland through technology and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Held under the leadership of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and inaugurated by Secretary Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, the conclave shone a spotlight on the transformative role that Common Services Centres (CSCs) continue to play in empowering rural communities.
Described as a bridge between India’s urban progress and rural aspirations, CSCs were lauded for their role in making digital access and skill development a reality for the underserved. Shri Tiwari, in his remarks, emphasized the alignment of CSCs with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of rural digital empowerment. He highlighted how CSC Academy’s initiatives, such as vocational training and digital education, have become instrumental in shaping a more inclusive and skilled Bharat, particularly through flagship programs like PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
The conclave, organized jointly by CSC Academy and the Indian ESG Network, served as a convergence point for government officials, corporate leaders, and development experts. Their discussions reflected a shared commitment to using CSR not just as a statutory tool but as a force for measurable change in the lives of rural citizens. From environmental sustainability to digital literacy, the event covered a wide array of themes crucial to the country’s long-term equitable development.
Chairman and Secretary of CSC Academy, Shri Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, in his keynote address, described CSCs as more than digital centers—they are community pillars driven by passionate Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). He stressed the importance of treating CSR as a strategic avenue for inclusion and growth, and not merely a compliance obligation.
Speakers like Dr. Biswajit Saha of CBSE, Shri Abhishek Gupta from UNICEF, and Ms. Parnal Vats of VISA shared inspiring stories and programs that are helping shape future-ready rural youth, especially in areas like Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital finance. The thematic panels led by healthcare, education, and CSR experts further deepened the dialogue around women and child health, employability, and the role of innovation in social impact.
The event concluded on a hopeful and action-oriented note, with a collective reaffirmation of CSC Academy’s mission to continue building a digitally empowered and self-reliant rural India.
