CTET February 2026: Revised Exam Dates
In its official notice, CBSE confirmed that the 21st edition of CTET, originally scheduled for February 8, 2026, will now be held on both February 7 and February 8. The board stated that the change will help examination centres across the country manage candidates more efficiently.
The CTET examination will be conducted in two shifts each day, covering both Paper I and Paper II, ensuring equal opportunity and convenience for candidates.
Paper-Wise Timetable and Shift Details
CBSE has released the detailed paper-wise timetable for both days. Each paper will be conducted for a duration of two hours and thirty minutes.
On February 7, Paper II will be held in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, followed by Paper I in the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The same schedule will be repeated on February 8.
Examination Cities and Reporting Instructions
The CTET February 2026 examination will be conducted in 140 cities across India. Candidates are advised to carefully check their admit cards for the allotted exam city, centre address, reporting time, and paper details.
CBSE has instructed all candidates to report to their respective examination centres at least one hour before the scheduled start of the exam. No entry will be allowed once the examination has commenced.
Admit Card and Official Website
The CTET admit cards for the February 2026 session will be made available on the official CTET website. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets using their application number and date of birth.
