Delhi to Host Telecom Pensioner Facilitation Camps in January

In a significant step aimed at easing pension-related processes for retired telecom employees, the Principal Controller of Communication Accounts (Pr. CCA), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has announced a series of Telecom Pensioner Facilitation Camps across Delhi and the National Capital Region during January 2026.
The initiative focuses on providing pensioners with a convenient, accessible, and assisted platform for submitting their Jeevan Praman (Digital Life Certificate), completing Know Your Pensioner (KYP) formalities, and addressing grievances related to pension disbursement.

Objective of the Facilitation Camps

The camps are being organised to ensure that telecom pensioners, particularly senior citizens who may face challenges with digital platforms, receive hands-on support for mandatory life certificate submission and pension-related documentation.

Officials said the initiative reflects the Department of Telecom’s continued efforts to promote digital governance while ensuring no pensioner is left behind due to lack of technical knowledge or access.

Camp Locations and Dates

The facilitation camps will be held at MTNL Exchange Buildings and other designated telecom offices across Delhi, ensuring wide geographical coverage for the convenience of pensioners.

  • 16 January 2026: MTNL Exchange Building, C-10 Yamuna Vihar, Delhi
  • 19 January 2026: MTNL Exchange Building, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi
  • 20 January 2026: MTNL Exchange Building, Narela, Delhi
  • 22 January 2026: MTNL Exchange Building, Dwarka Sector-6, Delhi
  • 27 January 2026: MTNL Exchange Building, Nehru Place, New Delhi

All camps will operate between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Facilities Available for Pensioners

During the camps, pensioners will be guided step-by-step in submitting their Digital Life Certificate through the official Jeevan Praman portal and mobile applications.

The facilities offered include training for online life certificate submission through
www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in, guidance on using the Jeevan Praman Face Authentication application, and assistance in filling and submitting KYP forms.

Pensioners are advised to carry one recent photograph and a copy of their Aadhaar card for KYP verification. Officials will also accept grievances and queries related to pension payments on the spot.

Who Should Attend the Camps

The Department of Telecommunications has clarified that pensioners who have already submitted their life certificates for the current cycle are not required to attend the camps for the same purpose.

However, those facing technical issues, documentation concerns, or unresolved pension grievances are encouraged to attend and make use of the facilitation services.

Strengthening Digital Pension Services

The Jeevan Praman initiative has significantly reduced the need for physical verification by enabling pensioners to submit life certificates digitally using biometric or face authentication.

By organising physical facilitation camps, the Department of Telecom aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that elderly pensioners receive timely pensions without procedural hurdles.
