AI Integration in School Education
The committee reviewed a detailed presentation on school education interventions, showcasing how AI is being systematically integrated in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Key initiatives include curriculum reforms introducing computational thinking and AI literacy from the foundational stage, project-based learning, and the formal introduction of AI as a skill subject at the secondary level.
The presentation also highlighted digital tools such as DIKSHA 2.0, e-Jaadui Pitara, Guru-Mitra, TARA app, My Career Advisor, and Vidya Samiksha Kendra. These platforms leverage AI for personalized learning, teacher support, career guidance, multilingual access, and real-time monitoring of student progress.
AI’s Role in Higher Education
On the higher education front, the committee discussed AI’s potential to strengthen teaching, learning, research, innovation, and employability. Presentations outlined AI-enabled curriculum updates in centrally funded institutions, integration of skill-based and interdisciplinary courses, and enhanced digital and physical infrastructure to support advanced learning and research.
