Digital India Milestone: 2,000 e-Gov Services Live Nationwide

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics & IT has achieved a landmark milestone by integrating nearly 2,000 e-Government services across DigiLocker and e-District platforms. Citizens from all 36 states and union territories can now seamlessly access certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments, and other essential services anytime, anywhere.

Expanding Digital Access Nationwide

The integration supports India’s Digital India initiative, enhancing convenience, efficiency, and transparency in service delivery. DigiLocker’s robust infrastructure ensures secure and reliable access while addressing interoperability and multi-stakeholder coordination challenges.

State-Wise Access to Services

Maharashtra leads with 254 services available to citizens, followed by Delhi (123), Karnataka (113), Assam (102), and Uttar Pradesh (86). Other notable states include Kerala (77), Jammu & Kashmir (77), Andhra Pradesh (76), and Gujarat (64). In total, 1,938 services are accessible across the nation.

Innovations and Capacity Building

NeGD plans to expand services using emerging AI technologies. Structured training programs and state-level workshops will enhance awareness and strengthen last-mile delivery. These efforts aim to improve inclusivity, efficiency, and citizen empowerment in digital governance.
