DoT to Hold Jeevan Praman Camps for Telecom Pensioners

The Principal Controller of Communication Accounts (Pr. CCA), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has announced the schedule for the Telecom Pensioners Jeevan Pramaan Camps to be held across Delhi and NCR throughout November 2025. The initiative aims to make the submission of life certificates easier and more accessible for telecom pensioners.

The camps will be organized at Delhi Sanchar Lekha Bhawan, Prasad Nagar, New Delhi, the extension counter at Eastern Court Janpath, and at various MTNL and BSNL premises across the Delhi-NCR region. Each camp will operate between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, providing pensioners with on-the-spot verification facilities and technical assistance.

Supporting Digital Life Certificate Submissions

The Jeevan Pramaan initiative, accessible at www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in, allows pensioners to digitally submit their life certificates without visiting pension offices physically. The upcoming camps will provide hands-on training to help pensioners use the Jeevan Pramaan Face Authentication Application and ensure their life certificates are uploaded successfully.

In addition to training, officials will assist pensioners in submitting their Know Your Pensioner (KYP) forms. Pensioners are advised to bring one recent passport-size photograph and a copy of their Aadhaar card for verification purposes. Those who have already submitted their life certificates need not attend the camp for the same purpose.

Camp Schedule Across Delhi NCR

The facilitation camps will be held at 15 key locations, including Yamuna Vihar, Faridabad, Laxmi Nagar, Narela, Nehru Place, Dwarka, Rohini, Delhi Cantt, Janakpuri, Hauz Khas, Gurugram, Noida, Rajouri Garden, Ghaziabad, and Najafgarh. Each location is chosen strategically to ensure coverage across the National Capital Region and make participation convenient for retired telecom employees.

Enhancing Pensioner Services and Transparency

The Jeevan Pramaan Camps reflect DoT’s ongoing efforts to improve transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for pensioners. By organizing these camps annually, the department ensures that beneficiaries of BSNL, MTNL, and DoT can easily complete mandatory documentation while addressing grievances in person.

At each site, dedicated help desks will assist pensioners with grievance redressal, digital verification, and training on how to use biometric and facial recognition tools. The objective is to help senior citizens embrace digital systems with comfort and confidence.

Digital Empowerment for Senior Citizens

By conducting these camps, the Department of Telecommunications is promoting digital inclusion among pensioners, many of whom face challenges in using technology. The Jeevan Pramaan initiative is part of the government’s broader Digital India Mission, aimed at leveraging technology to simplify citizen services.

DoT officials highlighted that the Jeevan Pramaan Camps are more than procedural facilitation—they represent a bridge between traditional systems and India’s digital future. With growing awareness, pensioners are now increasingly using the mobile app and biometric authentication to submit certificates from the comfort of their homes.

This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of retired telecom employees and ensure that no eligible pensioner faces disruption in their pension disbursement due to certificate delays.
