Dussehra / Vijayadashami – 2 October 2025

Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, will be celebrated on 2 October. This day marks Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana. The Dashami tithi begins on 1 October at 7:01 PM and ends on 2 October at 7:10 PM. The auspicious Vijay muhurat is from 2 October 2:09 PM to 2:56 PM. Devotees perform afternoon puja between 1:21 PM and 3:44 PM. The Shravan nakshatra begins on 2 October at 9:13 AM and ends on 3 October at 9:34 AM.

Celebrations & Cultural Significance

During Durga Puja, beautifully decorated pandals, cultural performances, and community gatherings are common. The festival also marks the homecoming of Goddess Durga to her maternal abode. Navratri and Dussehra are not just religious observances but also a time for family gatherings, traditional food, and vibrant rituals.
