Election Commission Seeks Suggestions on ECINet

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has invited citizens to actively participate in strengthening India’s digital electoral ecosystem by sharing suggestions on the ECINet App before January 10, 2026.
According to the ECI, citizens can download the ECINet App and submit their feedback through the dedicated “Submit a Suggestion” tab available within the application. The initiative aims to make the platform more user-friendly, transparent, and efficient for voters across the country.

What is ECINet?

ECINet is a single, unified digital platform developed by the Election Commission of India to integrate nearly 40 earlier election-related mobile applications and websites into one interface. These include popular services such as the Voter Helpline App (VHA), cVIGIL, Saksham, Know Your Candidate (KYC), and the Voter Turnout App.

The app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Key Features of the ECINet App

The trial version of ECINet offers enhanced voter services, faster access to polling percentage trends, and publication of Index Cards within 72 hours of the close of polls—an exercise that earlier took several weeks or even months.

The app was successfully tested during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and subsequent by-elections, where it received positive feedback from election officials and users.

Citizen Feedback to Shape the Platform

The Election Commission stated that ECINet is being continuously refined based on feedback from Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs), District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), observers, and field officials.

Suggestions received from citizens will also be carefully examined and incorporated wherever feasible, ensuring that the app evolves in line with voter expectations and technological best practices.

Leadership and Vision

ECINet is one of the flagship digital initiatives of the Election Commission under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi.

The development of the app began after its announcement on May 4, 2025, as part of the Commission’s broader push towards transparent, accessible, and technology-driven elections.

Official Launch This Month

The Election Commission has confirmed that the ECINet platform will be officially launched later this month. By inviting public participation at this stage, the Commission aims to ensure that the final version of the app reflects the needs of voters and strengthens democratic engagement.
