Elon Musk Calls Out Trump’s Bill, Pushes New Party

RR Team, July 1, 2025July 1, 2025

Published on July 1, 2025 – Tech billionaire Elon Musk has reignited his feud with US President Donald Trump, calling the Republican-backed tax and spending legislation a “disgusting abomination.” Musk also renewed his call for a new political party, saying the current political system has failed Americans.

Musk Slams the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’

The 940-page proposal, dubbed the “Big Beautiful Bill,” offers deep tax cuts and slashes spending on essential programs like healthcare and food security. Although Musk once supported Trump and donated heavily to his campaign, his recent shift has drawn sharp attention.

“This bill proves we live in a one-party country — the PORKY PIG PARTY,” Musk wrote on X. “Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.”

Feud Intensifies Ahead of Key Senate Vote

After briefly cooling tensions in June, Musk took to social media as the US Senate prepared to vote on the bill. “Lawmakers who support this bill should hang their heads in shame,” he said, adding, “They will lose their primary next year if it’s the last thing I do on this Earth.”

Trump retaliated, accusing Musk of hypocrisy. He claimed that Musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, had received historic levels of government subsidies. On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back to South Africa.”

Musk Doubles Down

Musk quickly responded on X, saying, “I am literally saying CUT IT ALL. Now.” He argued that only by hitting the debt ceiling could the government be forced to address wasteful spending and fraud.

Republican Concerns Grow

With the 2026 midterm elections on the horizon, some Republicans are worried about the damage this feud may cause. According to Bill Schneider, public policy professor at George Mason University, “It’s hard to form a party of both deficit hawks and social safety net defenders.”

Democrats oppose the bill for cutting essential programs. Republicans, while backing tax relief, fear the rising national debt. Musk’s disruptive stance could alienate both sides, further complicating party dynamics.

What’s Next?

While it’s unclear how much political capital Musk holds in Washington, his voice commands attention. Whether his push for a new party gains traction or fizzles out, it marks a new chapter in the tech mogul’s increasingly vocal political journey.

The Senate vote on the bill is expected this week. All eyes are on Capitol Hill as America watches the clash between two of its most controversial figures unfold.
