Empowering Public Service: Interactive Training Under Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program Inspires Civil Servants

RR Team, May 10, 2025May 10, 2025

In a spirited step toward building a more capable and committed civil service, the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) held an interactive training programme under the “Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program” in New Delhi on May 10, 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission, the session brought together officers from different levels—ranging from Assistant Section Officers to Under Secretaries—united by a shared purpose of growth and public service.

The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and reflection as Secretary Shri V. Srinivas joined the session, emphasizing that such training is more than a professional requirement—it is a transformative journey. He spoke of the power of teamwork and bonding that such engagements foster, reminding attendees that a responsive and people-centric administration begins with empowered individuals. His words served as a gentle yet firm reminder of the responsibility that comes with public service and the difference every officer can make.

Leading the session with warmth and energy, Deputy Secretary and Master Trainer Ms. Sarita Taneja facilitated deep, engaging conversations among the participants. Her ability to connect with the officers—both junior and senior—helped cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared learning.

The programme was structured around four thought-provoking modules: “Who is a Rashtriya Karmayogi?”, “Expanding Our Vision of Success and Fulfillment,” “Creating a Karmayogi,” and “Rashtriya Karmayogi as a Nation-Builder.” These modules encouraged participants to reflect not only on their individual roles but also on the larger impact they could have as catalysts for national progress. The training inspired them to view their responsibilities not just as jobs, but as meaningful contributions to the country’s development.

This initiative stands as part of a broader movement by the Government of India to cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and integrity within public service. Through such programs, the vision of a citizen-first administration moves one step closer to becoming a reality—carried forward by a growing community of motivated and mindful public servants.
