Preventive Health Services in Gurugram

On the second day of the Abhiyan, ESIC Hospital Gurugram organized extensive screenings for lifestyle and communicable diseases. Patients and their dependents availed check-ups for diabetes, haemoglobin levels, tuberculosis, oral and breast cancers, and cervical cancer. Antenatal care registrations were also facilitated.
Specialist consultations in ENT and ophthalmology included vision testing, glaucoma screening, and cataract detection. These efforts reinforced ESIC’s focus on early detection and preventive action.
An awareness session on “Immunization in Pregnant Women and Children” highlighted the significance of timely vaccination. The interactive talk allowed patients to clarify doubts, reinforcing confidence in preventive care.
To extend services beyond the hospital, ESIC held an outreach camp at Vinay Corporation. Around 45 industrial workers were screened for diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, and other conditions, ensuring that preventive care reached employees directly at their workplace.
Workplace and Hospital Outreach in Bengaluru
At ESIC Hospital Peenya, Bengaluru, preventive healthcare activities were carried out both in workplaces and within the hospital premises. At Indian Design Exports Pvt. Ltd. in Peenya Industrial Area, 75 insured persons, including 68 women, were screened for non-communicable diseases, hypertension, diabetes, anaemia, and tuberculosis.
Counselling sessions were also conducted, covering lifestyle disorders, menstrual hygiene, vaccination, and nutrition. Patients with common ailments received immediate medical attention.
Within the hospital, 50 female insured persons and their dependents underwent comprehensive check-ups. These included cervical cancer screening through Pap smears, breast cancer detection, oral malignancy checks, dental hygiene evaluations, and screenings for diabetes and hypertension.
Digital awareness was also promoted, with beneficiaries introduced to the AAA App for improved access to health information and services.
A Commitment to Preventive Healthcare
The combined efforts of ESIC hospitals in Gurugram and Bengaluru on September 18 demonstrated a strong commitment to preventive health. By blending in-hospital services with industrial outreach, ESIC ensured timely access to screenings, counselling, and awareness-building for women and their families.
This approach supports the broader vision of the Government of India to make healthcare accessible, affordable, and community-focused, particularly under missions that prioritize women’s health and family well-being.
