The Secretary emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and organized work environment, which is essential for efficient government functioning and citizen-centric service delivery.

Special Campaign 5.0: Goals and Implementation

The Special Campaign 5.0, launched on October 2, 2025, and continuing until October 31, 2025, is spearheaded by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). Its primary objectives are to institutionalize swachhata (cleanliness) in government offices and minimize pendency in administrative processes.

DoHFW, along with its Central Government Hospitals, Attached and Subordinate Offices, Autonomous Bodies, and CPSUs, has set extensive targets to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen citizen-centric governance. The campaign also focuses on timely disposal of pending matters, ensuring accountability, and promoting a culture of hygiene and orderliness in all offices.

Commitment to Cleanliness and Governance

Through Special Campaign 5.0, DoHFW reaffirms its dedication to maintaining cleanliness, efficient administration, and responsive governance. Officials highlighted that systematic record management, organized workspaces, and hygienic facilities are key to delivering timely services and improving public satisfaction.

The initiative aligns with the broader Swachh Bharat mission and serves as a model for other government departments to adopt similar measures, reinforcing accountability and operational efficiency across the public sector.
