CAT 2024 Exam Details
The IIM CAT 2024 exam was held on November 24 in three slots:
- Slot 1: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Slot 2: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Slot 3: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Each test paper had three sections:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants)
The exam lasted 120 minutes, with 40 minutes per section.

- Slot 1 was tricky, with increased difficulty compared to previous years. The VARC section was moderate, while DILR was also moderate. However, the QA section was challenging.
- Slot 2 had moderate difficulty in the VARC and DILR sections. The QA section was slightly easier, with candidates aiming for 11-12 questions.
- Slot 3 was slightly lengthier, but it offered a balanced mix of question types and required good time management to score well.
