“IEPFA Partners with Kotak Mahindra Bank to Boost Investor Education and Awareness Nationwide”

In a significant step towards strengthening investor education and protection in India, the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, one of the country’s leading financial institutions. This collaboration seeks to expand the reach of vital financial literacy messages, ensuring that investors across India are better informed and protected.

Through this partnership, carefully curated investor education material developed by IEPFA will be showcased prominently across Kotak Mahindra Bank’s wide-ranging digital and physical platforms. From ATMs and kiosks to mobile applications, websites, and social media channels, important messages about responsible investing, safeguarding against financial fraud, and understanding investor rights will now be more accessible to the public. The initiative is scheduled for rollout in the financial year 2025-2026 and notably places no financial burden on IEPFA.

The agreement builds upon the extensive footprint of Kotak Mahindra Bank, which operates more than 2,000 branches and over 3,000 ATMs nationwide. With such a broad network, the collaboration promises to touch millions of lives, reaching individuals from all walks of life and reinforcing the importance of financial empowerment in today’s rapidly evolving economy.

The signing of the MoU reflects the dedication of leaders like Smt. Anita Shah Akella, CEO of IEPFA and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, who continues to champion innovative approaches to investor education. Smt. Samiksha Lamba, Deputy General Manager of IEPFA, and Mr. Vishal Agarwal, Senior Vice President and Head at Kotak Mahindra Bank, formalized the agreement, reaffirming a shared commitment to fostering trust and transparency in India’s financial ecosystem.

Since its inception, the IEPFA has been tirelessly working to promote financial literacy through a range of investor awareness programs. This new collaboration with Kotak Mahindra Bank marks another meaningful stride toward safeguarding the interests of investors and ensuring that they have the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions.

The IEPFA continues its mission to protect investors and spread financial education, while Kotak Mahindra Bank remains steadfast in its commitment to offering innovative financial solutions and supporting initiatives that build a stronger, more informed India.
