The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, is set to host its inaugural international conference, “Advancements of Research & Global Opportunities for Holistic Ayurveda” (AROHA-2024), starting tomorrow, October 17th, and running through October 19th, 2024. This significant event will be held in both in-person and virtual formats, providing participants a unique platform to engage in discussions centered around the theme “Advancements in Research and Global Opportunities for Holistic Ayurveda.”
According to AIIA Director Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari, “AROHA-2024 aligns with AIIA’s vision of establishing Ayurveda as a critical pillar in global health and wellness.” The conference aims to unite scholars, industry leaders, and Ayurveda experts from countries like Japan, Colombia, Australia, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Argentina, facilitating the integration of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern scientific advancements.
The three-day conference will feature a range of workshops and 16 scientific sessions, with over 400 research papers being presented. Discussions will cover topics such as Ayurveda, ethnomedicine, quality control, standardization, diagnostics, drug delivery, evidence-based research, and the globalization of Ayurveda. The AIIA has established international collaborations in more than 17 countries, working with prominent institutions like the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, FIGZ Germany, AIST Japan, Western Sydney University Australia, and UHN Canada, as well as national institutions including IGIB, AIIMS, CSIR, and IIT.
