India Advocates Ethical, Equitable Science at Global Young Academy Meet
India made a powerful call for science with purpose and empathy at the Global Young Scientists Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Global Young Academy (GYA), held at IIT Hyderabad. The event, chaired by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, emphasized science as a force for human-centric development, global collaboration, and sustainability.
🌍 Science with Heart: India’s Vision for Global Progress
Delivering the keynote, Shri Pradhan reaffirmed that India’s approach to science is rooted in the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — One Earth, One Family, One Future. He said, “India believes in empathetic, ethical, and equitable science.” According to him, partnerships, not patents, should define the future of scientific progress.
“Science must be shared. Scientists must collaborate and co-create with purpose,” he urged.
