India Unites in Patriotism as “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” Campaign Lights Up the Nation

In a moving celebration of unity and patriotism, the Ministry of Culture has launched a heartfelt nationwide campaign titled “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” (One Nation, One Heartbeat). This initiative, aimed at paying tribute to the spirit of India and honoring the bravery of the nation’s unsung heroes, has struck an emotional chord with citizens across the country.

The campaign has quickly gained traction, with the slogan #EkDeshEkDhadkan becoming a unifying symbol of national pride across social media platforms. It reflects a powerful message of gratitude and collective identity, echoing the heartbeat of a nation that stands together in remembrance and respect for its protectors.

Over the past two days, all 43 cultural institutions under the Ministry of Culture have shown remarkable solidarity by changing their display pictures to the Tiranga and actively participating in various commemorative activities. Their gesture serves as a visual reminder of the strength and unity that binds the diverse fabric of India.

Adding to the emotional resonance, more than 60 iconic monuments and heritage sites across the country have been illuminated in the colors of the national flag. These include the Red Fort, Safdarjung Tomb, and Purana Qila in Delhi; Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan; Udaygiri Caves in Odisha; Fort Ballarpur in Maharashtra; and Rang Ghar in Assam, among many others. Each glowing monument stands as a proud beacon of the nation’s history, sacrifice, and cultural richness.

In a particularly moving moment, Union Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited Qutub Minar on May 14, where the Tiranga was projected onto the monument in a powerful display of national solidarity. His tribute honored the unmatched courage of India’s armed forces and the countless brave souls whose sacrifices continue to inspire generations.

The campaign also includes a series of cultural programs and community-driven activities. From storytelling sessions and musical tributes to quizzes, painting competitions, and Tiranga rallies, institutions are engaging the public in meaningful expressions of patriotism and pride.

“Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” is more than a campaign—it is a collective heartbeat of a grateful nation, pulsing with reverence, unity, and the unwavering spirit of India.
