The 2025 Cannes Film Festival opened to a dazzling celebration of global cinema, with Indian filmmakers and actors drawing significant attention on the international stage. Among the standout moments was the debut appearance of Alia Bhatt, known for her critically acclaimed performances in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Raazi. Joining her was Nitanshi Goel, who became the youngest Indian actor to walk the red carpet at Cannes. Celebrated for her lead role in Laapataa Ladies—India’s official submission to the Oscars 2025—Goel spoke passionately about the importance of Indian stories reaching global audiences.
