The vibrant in-store promotion, in partnership with the Embassy of India in the UAE and Lulu Group, spotlighted India’s most premium and GI-tagged mango varieties.

Timed perfectly with the peak mango season, this event aimed to bring the authentic taste of Indian mangoes to global consumers—especially the Indian diaspora across the Gulf.

Exotic Varieties Take Center Stage

Visitors at Lulu Hypermarket in Khalidiyah Mall were treated to a mango lover’s paradise. Some of the GI-tagged and regional mango varieties displayed included:

Supporting Farmers, Celebrating Flavour

From New Delhi, APEDA Chairman Shri Abhishek Dev reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supporting Indian growers and FPOs. “We’ve arranged the airlifting of mangoes from different states to ensure freshness and variety. This helps small farmers and opens big markets.”

In 2024, India exported over 12,000 metric tonnes of mangoes to the UAE, valued at USD 20 million—making it the top destination for Indian mangoes.
