He emphasised the importance of innovation and knowledge as vital traits shaping the nation’s future maritime leaders.
Jayshree Periwal High School Wins National Title
Out of thousands of participants from across the country, sixteen schools representing the North, South, East, and West zones reached the semi-finals. The top eight teams advanced to the Grand Finale, where Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur, triumphed as the national champions of THINQ-25.
PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Samastipur secured the runners-up position after a closely contested intellectual showdown.
The other finalists included Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kannur; Subodh Public School, Jaipur; Shiksha Niketan, Jamshedpur; Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Chennai; Cambridge Court High School, Jaipur; and Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Kanpur.
Celebrating Maritime Knowledge and Innovation
The quiz, conceptualized to ignite maritime curiosity among students, highlighted the Indian Navy’s commitment to promoting national pride and awareness of India’s oceanic legacy. The 2025 edition’s “MAHASAGAR” theme symbolized exploration, sustainability, and unity through knowledge.
Throughout the year, THINQ-25 engaged students from diverse schools across India in regional and zonal rounds, combining general awareness with maritime history, science, and innovation.

The Grand Finale was live-streamed on the Indian Navy’s official YouTube and Facebook channels, drawing enthusiastic participation from schools, naval establishments, and maritime enthusiasts nationwide.
As the Navy looks ahead to THINQ-26, it aims to further expand outreach and inspire the next generation of students to embrace curiosity, teamwork, and national pride through knowledge-based initiatives.
